International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs takes place in Kaliningrad

International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs takes place in Kaliningrad as press service of government of Kaliningrad region informs.

International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) is a public organization, established in 1992 on the initiative of RSPP. It unites national associations of industrialists and entrepreneurs of 27 countries of Europe and Asia, as well as China and India as observers. Over hundred enterprises and organizations are business partners of ICIE.

Innovation’s exhibition “IAPP: a space for cooperation”, which started on October 4 in 12.00 in the exhibition complex “BALTIC-EXPO”, opened the program of events in Kaliningrad.

At 01:00 p.m. press conference of ICIE President Victor Glukhikh and Deputy Chairman of Kaliningrad region’s government Konstantine Suslov took place there.

At 02:00 p.m. “round tables” were held in conference halls of Radisson Hotel and on the site of “BALTIC-EXPO”. Minister of finance Victor Porembsky (“The role of national banking unions in localization of consequences from international financial crisis”), Minister of Industrial Policy, Enterprise Development and Trade Dmitry Chemakin (“round table” on establishing of collaboration between commodity and raw material exchanges of ICIE member states), Minister of Social Policy Oleg Groznetsky and head  of regional agency for providing employment Natalia Valuykina (“Modern international tendencies in human resources management of organizations, business and other structures during crisis and post-crisis period”), Deputy Chairman of the region’s Government Alexander Rolbinov and Minister – Head of the Agency for International Affairs Alla Ivanova (“Practical issues of transeurasian passage development. Ways of solution”), acting Minister of Economy of the region Kirill Yutkin and Head of FMS of Russian in Kaliningrad region Sergey Savin (“ICIE target program “Global manpower resources”. The growing role of migration process”), participated from the region’s Government.

October 5, 10:00 a.m. the Session of the Congress starts in business center of the “Fish Stock”.

As “Kaliningrad.ru” informs, the Congress has an official status with the United Nations, the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States, it cooperates with the International Center for Scientific and Technical Information, International Road Federation.

April 2010, an official opening of ICIE Representative office for cooperation of states of Baltic Region took place. The place for the headquarters of Baltic representative office was chosen in Kaliningrad. Alexander Girzekorn, businessman and President of RSPP department in Kaliningrad became the Head of the Representative office.

The main distinction of ICIE from similar public associations of entrepreneurs- is indifference towards politics, absence of protectionism and lobbying  of narrow national and corporate interests. The Congress creates  equal work conditions for all collaborative parties, stands for interests of foreign business in Russia as well as Russian businessmen in foreign countries.

The Congress seeks for uniting of material and intellectual potential of states, so that it supports their economic and social development.

On 4-6 of October several events will be held in Kaliningrad, devoted to 20th Anniversary of International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

It is the first time in ICIE history, that this representative forum is held in Kaliningrad region. It was the initiative of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and ICIE Representative office in Baltic region.

According to the words of Head of ICIE Representative office in the Baltic region, Alexander Girzekorn, within the framework of the events it is planned to discuss processes, which take place in the global economy during crisis period and the role of business circles in overcoming of negative consequences of new economic reality. Questions, connected with investment potential of the Baltic region, establishment of closer and more efficient business contacts between entrepreneurs, will be also discussed.

Within the framework of the event the discussion of the scope of activity of ICIE Representative office in Baltic region, located in Kaliningrad, is going to take place.

The Program of the Jubilee Forum plans theme business meetings with potential partners, discussion of issues on transport and logistics cooperation of structures, represented in the Congress, consideration of potential on creation of cooperation of commodity and raw materials exchanges of countries- members of the Congress, Sessions of ICIE Committee for Cooperation in Financial and Credit policy and the Banking sector.

The exhibition “ICIE: a space for collaboration” will be held in “Baltic- Expo”. Presentations of new programs on innovative business forms development in the area of pharmacology and biotechnology, on labor markets and migration policy, customs and tariff regulation , development and implementation of “LiveMoney” program and using Information Technologies in business processes, will take place.

Delegations from 27 ICIE member states, headed by presidents of national unions of employers, heads of Kaliningrad region’s Government, representatives of the Russian Government as well as business circles of the Baltic region and Kaliningrad, participate in the Jubilee events.
