Victor Glukhikh

Was born on May 30, 1946 in Lgov, Kursk region.

In 1972 graduated from technical college under the Leningrad Metal Plant and in 1989 finished postgraduate studies in the Academy of National Studies under the Council of Ministers of the USSR.

Doctor of Engineering Science.

Member of Russian and International Academies of Engineering.

Member of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

He began his working practice in 1964 as an operator of the canning plant and a pourer in the cast house of technical school in Belgorod region.

In 1966- 1973 he worked as a lathe operator, then as an engineer, after he became a senior engineer of the Leningrad Metal Plant. From 1974 till 1990 he was an office chief, then a deputy chief process engineer, a deputy chief engineer and ended up as a chief engineer and First Deputy Director General of Production department of the Leningrad Metal Plant.

In 1990 – 1992 First Deputy Minister of Industry of the Russian Federation.

In 1992 – 1993 Chairman of the Committee for the defense sectors of the Russian Federation.

1993 – 1996 Chairman of the State Committee for the defense sectors of industry of the Russian Federation.

1996 – 1997 President of the Yak Aircraft Corporation (Moscow).

1996 – 2017 Chairman of the ICIE Council and President of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

2001 – 2011 Member of the Federation Council on the part of the Yaroslav region administration. Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on Natural Monopolies, member of the Industrial Policy Committee of the Federation Council, Plenipotentiary representative of the Federation Council and the Government of the Russian Federation.

Victor Glukhikh is awarded the Order of Honour, four medals, the Order of Merit (Ukraine), the Order of the Crown (Beligium). He has two testimonials from the President of the Russian Federation. V.Glukhikh is the Russian Federation Government prizewinner as well as a laureate of the International and National Award of Peter the Great. He was bestowed prizes of many Russian and international public organizations, in particular one of the Russian Orthodox Church. Honoured mechanical engineer.

Married, has two children and three grandchildren.
