Address by President of the ICIE on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

Dear members of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE), partners and colleagues, we congratulate you on the passing of another year since the foundation of our organisation!

As we are well aware, the last 27 years have seen fundamental changes in the economy, and in the world as a whole. Now, as in the past, the International Congress continues to find new ways to support the development of both industrialists and entrepreneurs, and help companies to introduce innovations and to develop, to adapt to new circumstances and be successful on both the national and international markets.

Together we are consolidating the efforts of national business associations and organisations from 28 countries. The Congress is active in defending their interests and seeks out and finds areas of activity that are in current demand in order to promote the growth of entrepreneurship and establish wide-ranging and mutually beneficial economic links.

In the last year our membership has increased, new organisations and also business Unions have joined the Congress, and we have established representative offices in a number of countries. The ICIE has started to implement projects in new directions, including, among many others, export compliance, blockchain technologies, the digital economy and dispute resolution through arbitration. The Congress has greatly increased its activities in the international arena and strengthened its presence in a number of different regions around the world. We will continue with the projects we have started, including our work on the renewal of our brand, and on the creation of new instruments to communicate efficiently with our members and partners.
